    @redenchilada Because they are proprietary apps I don't use. Mostly as a matter of experiment, I decided to try to use only Free software apps on my phone and, so far, it's going tremendously. I'm literally not missing anything except some boring games. Instead of Email (or, Gmail, which I did use), I now use K9 Mail and instead of Google Play I use F-Droid. Right now I'm in the state where everything is just working as I want, and I have no reason to install any of the Google Apps as I wouldn't even use them would I try to.
