@nerthos I like the more "segregated" social networking sites at times but I feel like they don't work as well for a specific-purpose site such as "pony fandom social networking". I like RDN because you have the option for both depending on if you use Public or Personal. Personally, I feel like encouraging Personal more (like, sending users there after logon but leaving the links to Public where they are) would be an ideal compromise. Then people who want the unified community can use Public and people who don't know that Personal exists.
