Pony (pony)'s status on Tuesday, 18-Jun-13 06:14:33 UTC

  1. @pegasusjones I respect people as people even when they try to injure me or when I fight against their causes. Maybe tolerating them as a person is similar, but it sounds grudging or lukewarm when i say, "I tolerate you," instead of, "I respect you." When it comes to their actions, saying, "I respect what you're doing," shows approval and warmth where, "I tolerate what you're doing," sounds again like I don't approve. I don't see the point of just going along with/tolerating something that could hurt somepony. Love spurs us to action, not passive coexistence.
