@ceruleanspark True.. That reminds me.. I'd have thought that the difference between the disguised Chrysalis's eye color and her aura might have been further evidence that something wasn't right (despite Celestia's aura not matching her eye color). I get that it was dramatic irony, but it makes the other ponies look dumb for not noticing since they seem to be able to see the auras just fine otherwise.
