@bobthecheesegal Starting to sound like me... (Disclaimer: I have not held down a girlfriend for more than a month, I have no idea how these things work, and my advice is probably terrible.) I (think) he's using self-pity to control you. If he's always upsetting you and then he turns around and makes himself the victim, that's not entirely healthy.
