    @nerthos There are alternatives being started, but they're being started by bigshots and for the most part it's privatized. TomSka claimed he's starting a public video service called TurboPunch but I've yet to see anything come out of that. At the end of the day, as bad as YouTube is, we as content producers are forced to stick with it because our viewership would be cut in half at least if we tried to move somewhere else, and a lot of them rely on ad revenue to live.
