@northernnarwhal Well, honor depends on which code you're following, be it chivalry, bushido, or whichever. But most people will pick one, generally the one most close to the culture they're from, and stick to old, consistent rules in it. A good example of consistent codes of honor are those used by knightly orders, where they'd have a very clear, written list of things that are allowed and not allowed.
