    @zeldatra it's basically taking about race without mentioning it so you can say "WE WEREN'T EVEN TALKING ABOUT RACE YOU'RE THE REAL RACIST". When you say stuff like "Don't go to Detroit because it's full of thugs", everyone knows that the person means their racist view of black people. "Thug" is one of the biggest dog whistles really, since it's basically the N-word that you can say on TV.
