I really doubt it, the "races" ( or rather, sponsors ) in that game are nowhere close to the civ you go spaceborne with, and you go to colonise a new planet... So, yeah... TotalBiscuit has played the game and has pretty much verified the exposition I have been spouting since it was generally anounced
