@northernnarwhal If some form of friendship has already been established and they feel the same way at that time, I don't see why that shouldn't work. Hell I know there's a good few people that I would be ok with being that blunt with me (after getting past the surprise that they would even ask me that at all). If they don't feel the same way, well it's not likely to make a difference no matter how long it's dragged out; it just leaves you more time to wonder and sets up for greater disappointment, I'd imagine.
