@zennx A lead suit is the best way to get slowly lead poisoning. People have all sorts of weird superstitions, ranging from Religion, to feeling sick from electric fields, and being good on slot machines. Once they set a thought in their head and receive some sorts of a confirmation of that believe it'll suddenly "work" for them and ignore any negative or ineffective outcomes, like for example homeopathy. They interpret the self-healing of the body and self-induced positive bias towards the watered down water solution to justify the effort put into that and outcome of no practical effectiveness of the stuff.
