@pawnheart I actually think my cold ended up becoming an ear infection, caused me quite a bit of pain (have had FAR more painful ear infections though, my first one in early 2006 made my ears feel like they were going to explode, like a blocked pipe) but the main irritant was the fact it amplified my normally bearable tinnitus like crazy, but the Lemsip helped a lot. I was able to get some sleep afterwards, even if not until 9am or so.
