MLB 2 is three years old today, but more importantly, Edd Gould died six years ago today. Now APPARENTLY, the new thing all the kids are doing is calling it “Happy Edd Day”, which is retarded, because that was NOT a happy day. Every year on this day I give some variation of this speech where I talk about how much his cartoons meant to me and how much my work was inspired by his, but I never called it “Happy Edd Day”. That’s kiwiing stupid.

I kept trying to post this earlier but it wouldn’t upload. Quick, goofy, off-model shot I animated today. The initial pose was roughed out in Flash and I brought that into Cacani, cleaned it up, and drew a few more frames. Then I had the program auto generate a few inbetweens (the shading was also auto generated from a few keys) and I imported that back into Flash, where I colored, lip synced, and timed it. http://rainbowdash.net/url/870987

Sometimes I worry that my constant googling of various assault weapon models is gonna get me out on a list. Then I remember that I live in the US, so obsessively looking up different guns and their specifications is the only thing that WON’T get me put on a watch list.

@firestormdangerdash You probably liked a post that was originally posted by a Russian propaganda account and reblogged thousands of times. A lot of the offending material was seemingly innocuous but linked back to blogs that were created expressly to divide American voters with race baiting and whatnot.

I have to take into account risks now when making cartoons in terms of “advertiser friendliness”. I’m not complaining because YouTube’s recent decisions make sense from a business standpoint, but some of this stuff is really dumb. For example, saying the f-word twice is seven million times riskier than saying every other swear excluding the c-word seven times each.

in one of the “flash forward” episodes of The Simpsons, Homer visits Abe, who had been cryogenically frozen. In the background of that scene, one can see that Agnes Skinner had also been frozen. Could Agnes Skinner have been unfrozen, sometime during the 29th or 30th century, and become Mom, majority shareholder of Mom’s Friendly Robots?

Did u kno: I once auditioned to voice a recurring character in the English localization of a German show about polar bears. I was even asked to do some re-takes based on notes from the casting director. As far as I know, the translation ended up being canceled after they weren’t able to secure funding for a full season.
