It doesn’t take itself too seriously and revels in the absurdity of its premise. It’s a crossover that shouldn’t work but just does anyway, much like the Family Guy/Simpsons crossover, which I had fully expected to be terrible but ended up being funnier than the Simpsons/Futurams crossover.

The Supernatural/Scooby Doo crossover episode is a genuine delight. I’m not even a fan of Supernatural, but the episode is really funny and works really well as a stand-alone adventure.

I think I’m gonna start relying a bit more on stock footage for my shorter and goofier cartoons. Something like The Twin Souls obviously needs 95% new animation but the cartoon I put out today could have had, like, 75% of its animation tweaked and repurposed for something else.
