Ah yes, a smooth clean shave. Oh do I enjoy conventional shavers to electric ones.. So much smoother.

@extremedash Aye, I agree.
-
@extremedash The path I trot is one I feel a great many have followed before and continue to follow. However thank you for sympathizing with my comment, I appreciate your willingness to support and speak of such things.
-
@tinwhistle I also just noticed how much you've been self-deprecating yourself, and I'd like to take the time to tell you to stop it. Not because I'm an emotionless, rude dole (mind the language), but because I know all too well that pitying thy self gets one nowhere and is frankly a waste of time and energy. Believe me, I've taken my fair share of time wallowing in pity.
-
@tinwhistle And then, he vanished... I do believe I remember you giving me a .gmail account name, but I forgot to mention I prefer interactions over MSN Messenger.
-
@tinwhistle It's a difficult process, one that takes more than a few interactions to complete. These revelations of common interests occur over time, this is why there is a hierarchy sort of system when one speaks of friends. The ones you know most you will likely turn to the most, given more interaction and more security with such individuals. It almost seems to me, tinwhistle, like you're experiencing the Hedgehog Dilemma. You want human interaction, however you find it so annoying a plight given people's insecurities in their own opinions that you attempt to avoid it. (correct me if I have misinterpreted.)

@tinwhistle Friendship is generally something that removes such things. I've been told many times that there are certain subjects one doesn't talk about with just anyone, and are likewise to be avoided with casual friends. However, I do see that an intimate bonding (platonic) with someone could derive security to voice opinions freely.

@tinwhistle If you get me started on a topic of interest, I'd probably voice my opinions, but I find that there are so little times that I actually find topics that I have solid opinions or standpoints on when speaking with acquaintances of mine for that side of me to ever really come out. I'm open on MSN or something if you want to speak about philosophy or something of the sort, I've always been interested in hearing others opinions on subject matters of interest to me.
-
@tinwhistle I've never found it an easy task to simply tell someone how I feel, or what I think. Give me the correct friend and I can talk about just about anything I care to, however outside of that very, very exclusive zone, I short of go with the flow. Also, you don't seem all that intimidating to me, although I am something of a newbie here.
-
@tinwhistle That always bugs me too, it seems like they're leading a life of no direction whatsoever. The reminds me of the idea of self-actualization; although I'm sure not having a true focus in life and finding ones niche in life aren't necessary the same thing, but in a way it almost seems synonymous in this case. Do mind if I've misinterpreted and misplaced such ideals, but shouldn't it be every able-bodied human's goal to find their true potential in life?
-
@solarreverie Although I may be trotting in a ponyzone, optimism and idealism isn't my cup of tea, thank you. Now, Rational Optimism is acceptable, however I've found myself more of a Realist, if not Borderline Pessimist. I'm getting better at it, but I don't think I'll ever have the mentality of anything more than a mellow expression and a depressed emotional state. I may be wrong - I may be rationally hoping for each new day a year from now, but at the current moment, all I see is an idealistic standpoint I wish were true, how reality is, and how different the two actually are. Don't you DARE pity me.
-
@tinwhistle Also, life is full of disappointments, I've learned this much if I've learned anything at all. People will be different, things will happen you wish wouldn't or didn't. I've pretty much learned at this point to expect disappointment, of both me and others, towards each other or otherwise.
-
@tinwhistle I'm sort of the same way, although I'm not sure I'm up to par at being extremely focused. I know how it is to feel isolated though - in slightly differentiating ways to your own, mind you, but it does feel like it's difficult to keep up a conversation I don't know much about, or care little about. Mind me if I took that in the wrong way, and I'll amend if I did, but it seems to me like that section of you is normal throughout most people. I'd bet most people couldn't hold a conversation about something they either don't know or care about.
-
@solarreverie Ah yes, do I ever adore the uncommon, however deep and interesting philosophical conversations. I have a few online friends that are deeply philosophical; it's quite enjoyable when we settle down from RPing to speak a bit about philosophy.
-
@abigpony I've just now realized the irony in your avatar and name.
-
@rainclop SCIENCE DOES NOT APPROVE OF THIS DISLIKE FOR CHEMISTRY. However it will concede to a homework five. *brohoof*

@sweetiebelle99 *twitch* cuteness and eccentricity overload! Error! Error!
-
@sweetiebelle99 Oh hey, it's you! Now what was that thing that Zark and Big wanted us to show you...
-
@madflavors Ouch, man. I wish I could do more, but there's the issue of distance...
-
@madflavors Oh snap, that's a lot of money down the drain... Curse you, Highschool drama! You have claimed yet another victim!
-
@carcinopony Are you going to bark all day, little doggie, or are ya going to bite?
-
@madflavors Crickey! Did you find your prediction of the potential culprit correct? Also, I'm quite sorry for your loss, lad. What type of phone, may I ask?
-
@tinwhistle Empirical evidence denying said baseless assertion : I have long hair and wear hats, however I am not egotistical. Topic discussed.
-
@critialcloudkicker Fare thee well in thy dreams!
-
@nightwillow I actually am not a stereotypical freshman - it's quite common that I'm told I'm quite mature for my age, honestly. But the next freshman class to enter our school looks like a bunch of 3rd graders, so you might be right when you say it will get worse.
-
@tinwhistle I swear, whatever those evil freshman did to make your night horrible, I am a quite well-behaved freshman, and am not at the bottom of it. *cowers in fear*
-
@magicrussia Comrade russia!
-
@madflavors Are you going to tortu- I mean use the Pinkie treatment on him?
