  1. @primesonic Exactly. I mean, who knows where this will get us? When something that shows how quickly and easily the smallest things can be taken away from us just to satisfy people who have nothing better to do than complain about things that do not concern them happens, I don't want to have to say "And when they came for the bronies...there was no one left to speak for me."

  2. @primesonic that is true, but by switching the wording around you can say that you accept a screaming child on an airplane, but don't have to like it. accept does not equal like

  10. @primesonic That was very very well said and I agree, as long as you have a connection that can download things in a reasonable time it is an amazing thing. In places were you get 5kb/sec connections however I've almost gone insane. EA has made there own one now, Origin. Not as good yet though.

  21. @primesonic Well, the best thing to do is always being friends with the higher authority. And then work them to hate what you hate.

  22. @yodelerty @primesonic @nerthos sorry about the slow reply as I had to go, but thanks for the responses, I'm just trying to figure out what to do in my life... And a dead end job flipping burgers and making sandwiches won't cut it...

  23. @primesonic One of the reasons I hate my current software engineering course at school is because every assignment they give us says "write this program the way we showed you in class". I try to say "my way is better" but the damn instructors insist on docking me marks for straying from the "proper method" which makes no goddamn sense at all.

  24. @primesonic @yodelerty Wow... 2 things very simelar to what I had in mind, what's it like having computing and software as a career/student course? I had it in mind to start a college course on it, but got talked out of it in favor of a food job... That I've now grown to resent

  26. @primesonic Big party: you don't get to enjoy anyone's company. Small party: everyone taks to everyone, all is fun. And cheap, of course.

  27. @primesonic More or less, and very small celebration. I've lost taste for /big/ birthday parties.

  28. @primesonic Well, you can export the first few layers of security to the user. It's their responsibility to set up apache and htaccess in such a way that things like directory traversal can't happen.

  29. @primesonic Writing secure code for a web app feels so much easier than writing it for "true" software.
