@minti mmm, maybe I will make the upgrade myself as a last present to the site before the changeover. And, while I'm at it, roll my patches into an easy-to-apply diff file....

@minti Upgrading StatusNet would be a pain. I'd made various minor changes to the codebase that would have to be patched back in. Things like adding links to the menu at the top right, requiring email validation, things like that.

@forestrain Don't worry about funding. As long as I'm paying (i.e.: until the changeover), everything will be fine. AFTER the changeover, perhaps the new host will want moneys. Talk to him or her once the changeover occurs. :)

@mrdragon I'm working with Cabal on finding a suitable new admin, and possibly also a suitable new host (sometimes, suitable admins have convenient access to suitable hosts ;) ). Nothing will happen to RBDN. I wouldn't let it happen.

@mushi Thanks for the cute pic! Yeah, some angry ex-staffers have been slamming me on 4chan. They're upset because I wouldn't give them financial control over the con. They walked out, and they've been spreading nasty rumours about me ever since, twisting and distorting everything I've ever done to make me look like a monster. @colfax I disabled the geolocation plugin for now. Let's see if it helps. If so, I can probably implement a local geolocation proxy. That'd cut down on the number of requests we send.

Looks like it's possible that the site problems were due to us exceeding the daily quota for the geolocation service we used. Or a DoS attack. Or both! 9.6

@serrio I have no idea what, if anything, is going on. I've heard the server has gone down several times. No clue why.
