  1. @grimbloodyfable I should totally make a pony-themed character in Saints Row 2. How did that never occur to me before? !vgp

  2. @rotation I gave up on Opera around version 4. I've tried it once or twice since then, but I just couldn't get used to it. Besides, I can't survive without Tab Mix Plus, AdBlock Plus, and NoScript. And I'm fairly attached to a number of other add-ons as well.

  3. Firefox 4 was worth it for Tab Groups alone. || On an unrelated note, insomnia still sucks.

  4. @thecupcakinator I need a private web server to dick around with. I don't trust Windows to do the job properly, and I'm too set in my Windows-user ways to permanently switch to Linux. VirtualBox allows me to run both at the same time, AND ensure that my sandbox server is only accessable from MY computer.

  5. Trying out Firefox 4 in VirtualBox. Had to download four different Add-Ons to make the UI slightly less stupid. Two of those were for the new Add-Ons Manager, which still sucks. To reiterate: I installed two Add-Ons to improve the ADD-ON MANAGER, and there is still room for improvement. That said, assuming all of my "required" add-ons actually function (have only tested Adblock Plus and Tab Mix Plus so far), I'm still going to go ahead and upgrade my Windows Firefox install.

  9. RT @scribus @administrator I've wondered, on the RP topic, if it would be too much bother to make maybe an RP subdomain? I really have no experience with that sort of thing, so forgive me if I'm asking for the moon & stars. I really don't mind the RP, and I would never vote to take it away from the RPers, but it does get a little hard to evade at times. Finally, thank you for the site! Even if there may be tweaks that could theoretically be done, I'm happy with it as-is, and I appreciate your efforts.

  10. @retl @administrator Separate StatusNet installs is something I considered as well. But I might take a stab at figuring out the separate timelines thing anyways, just for practice (which I sorely need, I haven't done any real web development since '06). This is the kind of thing I do for fun. Hell, if I HAD kept up on my web development all this time, I'd probably be trying to code up my own microblogging system from scratch right now.

  11. @retl @administrator Ideally, I'd like to see separate public timelines for RP and non-RP posts. This would have to be implemented server-side, though, which would be a pretty heavy undertaking. But probably easier than teaching myself javascript.

  12. @administrator The RP has gotten very far out of hand. I'm thinking of teaching myself javascript so I can write a Greasemonkey script to filter it out. Of course, that would require teaching myself javascript, so it could take a while. !c

  14. !vgp Saints Row 3 is up on the Steam store (no pre-order yet, mind you). Saints Row 2 was the best $3 I ever spent, and the PC version of SR3 is being done in-house so it maybe won't be a complete trainwreck of a port (even though, by some miracle, SR2 works flawlessly for me -- I'm very acutely aware of the fact that I'm in a small, small minority on that one).

  24. @starshine I realize that Winter Wrap-Up is a popular episode. I can only assume that this is due mostly to the song -- which is phenomenal, but worked better on its own. The episode itself was basically a textbook example of bad pacing.
