@pk !vgp I have mixed feelings about single player. It was a good game, but.. all of the puzzles were too straightforward. My favorite part of the first game was the stretch between getting the fully-upgraded portal gun and that time the platform was sliding into the fire pit, where the test chambers kept getting increasingly complex. Portal 2 didn't really have anything comparable, which to me was a huge let down. I'm also disappointed by the very sparse amount of commentary on the single-player maps. || Hopefully co-op will provide a more fulfilling experience on both fronts, but, what happens to me when I can't find a co-op partner because everyone else is already sick of it? || Also, Valve, for the love of god, I KNOW WHAT ANTIALIASING IS, STOP EXPLAINING IT TO ME EVERY TIME I GO TO TWEAK THE SETTINGS JESUS CHRIST. And why the hell did it take EIGHT DIFFERENT console commands to completely turn off motion blur? And where's the in-game Achievements menu?

!notices TrollHD has the 2GB 1080i dump of Call of the Cutie up on alt.binaries.hdtv if anyone cares. Mentos seems to have overlooked it, so I wouldn't expect to see his usual re-encodes up on Sharing is Magic for at least a day or two.

!vgp http://www.aperturescience.com/glados@home/ Have people not realized that the "Current CPUs" listed for each game is the number of people currently playing that game? Why has there been no organized effort to get everyone playing the same game at the same time, to speed up the process?

@starshine That's a lot of apples. When you're playing on the highest difficulty, you'll get the maximum amount of Sparkles as soon as you chase Snips and Snails off the first time. So it would be faster if you just scared them off once and then deliberately lost.

!vgp It suddenly occurs to me that BioShock is going to be the FF7/OOT of this generation (last generation?), in terms of permanently welded-on nostalgia goggles. (Disclaimer: BioShock, FF7, and OOT are all okay games. Though I never finished either of the latter two, personally.)

Wow. Finally got everything together for the English course I need before I can get started on my Engineering degree. Apparently the entire course consists of three assignments, four quizzes, and the final (which is all multiple choice). Don't hold me to this, but I might actually be able to handle it without any help. Hell, if my actual high school courses had been like this, I might have actually passed English the first time. !collegebronies

Totally watching Mission Impossible right now. By which I mean the "Assemble a team of specialists, undertake a mission that no one man could handle alone, become an epic series of intriguing spy stories" version of Mission Impossible, not the "Assemble a team of guys, kill everyone but Tom Cruise before the half hour mark, become a trilogy of generic action movies" version. Not that there's anything wrong with generic action movies.

!techponies I remember when I got my first 1.4 MB 3 1/2" disk. That cherries was DOUBLE DENSITY, man. You could fit ten whole hypercard stacks on it and still have room to spare. On that day, I truly was a god among nerds.
