Known across the web as Pokebis. Gonna' roll with Ponybis for a while out of spite.
New to the series as well as the community, I thought it was a bit silly at first, but the way this fandom has grown has really intrigued me.
I've never been part of a social network before, so this is new to me.

@macpony55 Apparently once you know it you can do it with radicals and context sort of like you can figure out words you don't know in English contextually.
-
@macpony55 In writing and some grammatical structure, yes, but I've seen a lot more borrow words in English - Japanese rather than Chinese - Japanese. I have an easier time understanding and remembering Japanese words and structures as well. I also hate Chinese characters so the Japanese alphabets are a nice help. And then Furigana is present a lot more than Pin Yin ever would be in the media so I can tell what some things are without having to learn the characters first.
-
@macpony55 I already understand a good amount of it, but I'm not yet fluent (probably about as much as a small child in the Country) and I want to get into the game industry when I'm older so I thought it'd be a decent language to learn. And there are a bunch of games I'd like to play that aren't getting localized. I want to learn Chinese for business purposes, but it's a lower priority right now. Ironically I may end up learning more of that first, though.
-
@macpony55 Chinese people are everywhere where I live. Also Koreans. Too bad I want to be fluent in Japanese the most and can't find any Japanese people around here. My only Japanese friend that lives here goes to a different school and I haven't spoken to him in a few years.
-
@macpony55 I have a good amount of friends (>100) in Taiwan (I made a Facebook just to communicate with them). Google translate makes our conversations quite interesting on both ends. They usually have less of an idea of what's going on than I do because I use other translation resources plus Google and I know a little Chinese myself. Google Translate is horrible in all regards and can't even do German to English very well.
-
@macpony55 How far are you along right now? It might help to look at other filters for greasemonkey or similar things. See how their structures work and whatnot. I'm sure you can find a database of naughtywords somewhere as well.
-
@quetzalcoatl I like beets with some hard-step bass.
-
@deleted but you seemed pretty cool and stuff. ;_;

@ponybis Wait, nevermind. I read something wrong.
-
I just realized my personal page isn't updating. I think at least. I see people I'm subscribed to on public, but I don't see those new posts on my Personal feed.
-
Vidya time. Later.
-
@ponydude2143 Okay.
-
@ponydude2143 They are, but that doesn't mean like them.
-
@ponydude2143 They capitalize on other's content, are funded by enemies of the internet (according to Cabal), and generally brings together the worst qualities of the internet in one nice, easy to access place for people who have no business there and ruin things for everyone. But that's a really short answer. I don't feel like ranting tonight, it's game time soon.
-
@nvrrmbr I want to say he's taking things way too far, which he is, it's a bit of a silly issue, but any cause against KYM is a noble cause.
-
@celery It's okay. You still have me. For a while at least.
-
@ambrosiasage I believe so. Check the groups.
-
@celery It's all in the name.
-
@lyokotravels /me Gemini master race. Excuses to be double edged. :3
-
@zach121k What do trolls do?
-
@macpony55 I don't think ironic is the right word. The word is "internet." So you were close.
-
@madflavors A venture lost is a value gained.
-
@paulmccoltney Oh, you RPers. Rarity would never set her standards so low.
-
@madflavors I've never tried recreational drugs myself, but I have no qualms with other people doing them and trying things out isn't a bad thing. It only becomes a problem when you're an addict. I'm actually quite interested in hallucinogenics, but I'll probably never try them anyways. I can sort of just set my mind into a surreal mode and just trip off of things online without any extra stimulation.
-
@madflavors Because the internet is a very safe place to learn about medical subjects you can't normally talk about in public without generating issues.
-
@zach121k I need to try that.

@nam She's too entergetic and can't commit herself to staying in a single spot. This will cause complications in the future and she will have trouble holding a career.
-
@madflavors Whelp, now it's your decision to quit or to keep it up.
-
@madflavors Is this your first high?
