@redenchilada There is one that can boot into a lot of menus, run a few games at like, 2fps, and the only game that can hit 60fps in-game running perfectly is Sonic CD.
-
@redenchilada Probably, but I imagine they'd be terrible to run.
-
@redenchilada Don't you get it: they wanted to re-create an action-packed and sweaty fight in a cereal box. This is the oral experience of this fight when swallowing that foul-tasting cereal.
-
@redenchilada I remember I had a Richter-tuned harmonica when I was younger, though recently I've just owned my tremelo harmonica.
-
@redenchilada Is it a diatonic harmonica?
-
@redenchilada Awwwww darn
-
@redenchilada Oh hey, is your brother on the Wii U?
-
@redenchilada I learned The Legend Comes To Life mostly by ear, so I think I'm missing a legato somewhere, but I could probably get the basic melody down.
-
@redenchilada Most important thing you need to know is don't breathe too hard into it, like any wind instrument you need to be gentle with it to really achieve your desired sound. You also try and wanna focus your output of air so you can play single notes, almost like you're "whistling" into it but blowing air instead of whistling. As for holding it, you wanna grasp it in between your index finger and thumb so that you can still move it laterally but without blocking any of the chambers. There's also a popular technique where you then "cup" it with the other hand and move that hand for accents on notes, so that's worth a try to. Other than that, just learn the note positions and like any instrument practice slowly first to improve your technique and timing.
-
@redenchilada I know how to play the harmonica so I could probably learn it on harmonica actually
-
@redenchilada ...which is that song, but I've just always known it as Lugia's Song because I never actually looked up the OST.
-
@redenchilada I actually know how to play Lugia's Song from that movie on piano, it's a really fun melody.
-
@redenchilada Look back on the timeline about 10 hours and you'll see one notable example.
-
@redenchilada I imagine it would benefit any long range weapon, but I'm still able to have some degree of success with Shooters without using gyro controls, whereas gyro controls are practically an entrance condition for Chargers.
-
@redenchilada I'm generally here all day too, so if your brother is off the Wii U just send a notice my way here and I'll get on.
-
@redenchilada Yeah, it doesn't seem like it translates as well over into a third person shooter as it would into a first person shooter. Still, I know they gave the regular Splatterscope more range the regular Splat Charger to compensate specifically for that, so could you imagine an E-Liter with even more range? But yeah, the tradeoff is they'd be more likely to notice you but you'd be less likely to miss. I feel like if you learned the playstyle well enough you could reconcile the difference in perspective by picking a perch where people would approach you linearly and you'd have an escape plan on the ready. So the map would play some part in permitting it, but I could see it working.
-
@redenchilada Around what time will you be on tomorrow so I can nag you politely ask you to Smash with me?
-
@redenchilada E-Liter is my favourite charger too for the same reasons you listed. I'm just waiting for them to release one with a scope that'll break the meta game.
-
@redenchilada I just stopped using it because I was tired of getting amazing scores with usually terrible K/D ratios, so I started getting really into high range weapons like the Squelcher series.
-
@redenchilada The best part about the RG is that it can cover lots of ground quickly and is really ammo efficient, so it's great for racking up high scores. Also on the chance you actually do get within range of someone you fire so fast you'll take them out no problem (though more often than not firefights with the RG will just result in tradeoffs if you're good). It's not really a weapon for racking up kills as much as it's for getting lots of points and turf. That being said, I have had some pretty great successes with it in the past (neither of those were fluke matches either). http://rainbowdash.net/notice/3936150 http://rainbowdash.net/notice/3936157 The biggest and most obvious caveat of using the RG is, as I mentioned earlier, its terrible range. That and the fact that it requires you to pretty much constantly be on the move are where many players fail with it, though experienced Aerosprayers can generally work around those admonitions.
-
@redenchilada My weapon of choice generally depends on the map too. With smaller areas like Walleye Warehouse I'll generally go for something good for close encounters like the Krak-On Splat or the Splattershot Jr, but if I'm heading into an area with lots of open space like Urchin Underpass I'm much more comfortable with any Squelcher weapon.

@redenchilada Also I still wanna 1v1 you in Smash at some point
-
@redenchilada Before the .96 gal deco came out I was maining the Custom Jet Squelcher because it had great range + Kraken but now with the new .96 I have all of that plus the generally really hard hitting power of the .96, so it's hard to go back to the Custom Squelcher (though I imagine I'll still pick it up from time to time along with the Dual Custom). I still like using the Krak-On Splat roller from time to time too, and if I'm feeling bored I'll pull out the Splattershot Jr for the Bubbler. I'm just glad I'm no longer an overrated Aerospray main.
-
@redenchilada Actually I'm just razzing you the same thing happened to me yesterday when I played around 5-6 hours straight and got a migraine.
-
@redenchilada I PLUGGED MINE IN FOR YOU
