Crazy how many #Unity3D developers gave me blank looks when I asked them if they had plans of a #Linux builds to go along side their #Windows and #OSX builds. It is like they don't know the tool they are working with. Although the guy who was writing his own engine has it so it can be built for any of the platforms and plans to support them. Then went on to say how I should not be punished for wanting to use #Linux . Either way here is my top 3 games from the event:

2. GravityPong - https://austinh1.itch.io/gravitypong/

@ultimape @linuxsocist #OSE aims to do to farming equipment what #GNU + #Linux did for the OS. It's necessarily an incremental approach.

Phew, took me several hours to understand how font settings, namely freetype, infinality, lcd filtering, AA, hinting, settings in /etc/fonts/conf.d and ~/.Xresources work with each other.
tl;dr infinality does a Fluffle Puff jobu for monospaced fonts – it tries to draw glyphs by adding more ‘meat’ to the bones, but one can’t put more meat on lowercase m. That leads to some letters, their stems, being thicker than that of other letters. The whole look of the font becomes like if a tornado went over it, tearing off chunk in one places and leaving at the others.

Be warned upgrading udisks2 to version 2.7.x on Debian. It took me painfully long to realize that it was the culprit of my misery. It provoked that my system was extremely slow on opening my file browser, file dialogs, and anything file system related. It took literally 5 minutes to open a stupid file dialog because of this. #debian #linux
