  1. Gah, bloody !rdnrefresh, why must you dissapear if I leave RDN? I have to reinstall it every time this happens, I'm about ready to give up with it.

  2. @abigpony Always improve. I'd like to figure out the main issue with Firefox 5 and !rdnrefresh ~ I think I know where it's coming from, but I'm still not sure how to fix it. The only ideas I've found online haven't seen to have done it.

  3. @abigpony It's integrated so well into Mac OS X Lion, I can't bring myself to break the operating paradigm. But !rdnrefresh is keeping me back on Chrome.

  4. @abigpony I /wouldn't/ go here with !rdnrefresh lol

  5. @greydragon412 @starshine This was addressed (I didn't see the message beforehand though haha) ~ yeah, the problem originally was that tink had Meetups and Personal under the same ID, so I had to just select it by the second menu item. When this changed, my way to find the current user's name broke. Now that each has an individual ID there shouldn't be any further problems with that. The userscripts page was updated a few hours ago to reflect this !rdnrefresh

  8. @musicssound Well, it apparently only works right now with Google Chrome (firefox changed a few things with Firefox 5 and broke some features I guess) ~ So that's a starting point. From there, if you click on the !rdnrefresh group page, you'll see a link at the top to http://userscripts.org (I forget the direct link haha) ~ From there I have information at the top of what you'll need to get it running.

  9. @haganbmj Sorry to be a noob pony, but how do I use said !rdnrefresh ?

  10. @haganbmj I guess that means I should also add rainbowdash.com to the list of registered websites !rdnrefresh runs on.

  11. Updated !rdnrefresh to reflect the addition of a forums link at the top of the page. Username highlighting will once again work. No other changes, I haven't had the time to really look at Firefox 5 handling or to compress the menu.

  12. @starshine The !RDNrefresh controls weren't showing when the page refreshed.

Tuesday, 26-Jul-11 14:40:38 UTC from web in context
  13. @abigpony Yeah, nothing in !rdnrefresh would be a cause of that. It's just loading the page in the background and switching some stuff around (though I think I might be to blame sometimes when posting errors occur - still looking into that)

  14. @abigpony How long are we talking? Hours and hours? And what form of invalid website issue - the timeline shouldn't be updating if it receives an error. It should just sit where it was. !rdnrefresh ~ As for the posting errors, I get those from time to time as well - I think that's a server side issue though.

  15. @greydragon412 Since I'm in the !RDNrefresh group, it was on my Personal tab.

  17. @1greg1 I could not get !rdnrefresh to work...at all. And I tried it in both Mozilla Firefox and Google Chrome.

  18. @johnatmc install !rdnrefresh or use StatusNet Desktop

  19. @theawesomepony There are a few people on here I'd like to keep contact with, and that's the only reason I keep coming back. If it weren't for !rdnrefresh keeping my interest from time to time, I'd have probably left. ~ The skype chat is continually in decline, there's never a valid topic (unless it's sexual -.-)

  20. Quick update to !rdnrefresh ~ At the request of @starshine :P I added toggles to enable/disable the sliding animation on the timeline and to clear the context after each post (or when the reply field is emptied) ~ The clearing still doesn't work how I'd like it, but it should catch most instances. I'll try and clean up the sidebar tomorrow, probably condensing all the toggles into one large dropdown to keep things compact. For now though, [Photo Finish Voice] ... I Go (and sleep).

  21. @haganbmj !rdnrefresh Latest version has broked. I've lost the settings box on the right, and it's not longer refreshing at all. Firefox 5, latest version. No errors in console log either.

Wednesday, 20-Jul-11 08:40:28 UTC from web in context
  22. Updated !rdnrefresh ~ It will now clear the replyto field (which is responsible for creating in-context) after you submit a post and whenever the reply field is empty. You can also check which message you are replying to by hovering over the "What's up, *username*?" text at the top of the reply field. Check it out. I'll also work on a fix for Firefox 5 in a bit, for now there is a partially updated version available that seems to work fine (check the userscripts page for info) - but I'll see what I can do to resolve that issue fully.

  23. Also, as much as I love StatusNet Desktop, my PC is too slow for the amount of memory it wants, plus it crashes a lot sadly :( Time to install !rdnrefresh, methinks.

  24. @thebrilliantspy I wrote a bit of a script here you can check out !rdnrefresh ~ There's a link within there (in the description) with some instructions. Otherwise, you could try the StatusNet desktop client.

  26. @leonkfox I prefer the web UI. And with !rdnrefresh I can have it refresh for me after 15 seconds. Highlighting new posts and any posts that are relevent to my nametag.

  30. ew... > $('ul.nav li:eq(1) a').attr('href') < ~ Anyways though - new version of !rdnrefresh will be up in a minute. Corrects username highlighting, as the current username wasn't being retrieved from the page.
