  1. @thelastgherkin That's pretty cool. I see what you mean about some of them apparently being out of order. It occurred to me while watching. I was thinking though that it might represent a couple years, although if the Gala is an annual event, that does somewhat require everything to happen in one year. Also... I thought Winter Wrap up might come earlier, because it represents Twilight's unfamiliarity with her friends, and her abilities.

  3. @funkyflump Bubbles is a little sad, but interesting. It's a Derpy origin. A Millennium on the Moon sort-of works. I haven't read a lot of the others. I wouldn't mind one where Dash is straight, and doesn't die.

  4. @zach121k Woot! Have fun! Going to Merritt Island? I miss the beach there. Do the traditional native things, go to Ron Jons but don't buy anything, and have a Hurricane 5 at the SandBar beach.

  5. @extremedash Is it possible to be too ambitious? All that really happens then is a spectacularly interesting failure, which is in itself a sort of win.

  6. Obligatory self promotion, I've got a webcomic at http://www.sasta.info and art at http://www.furaffinity.net/user/sasta/ . I suppose I should consider a dA, as it looks like a lot of the Brony activity is there.

  7. @zach121k I did. I Liked 'Sunset over the Summit' and 'Zapper'. From the thumbnail I thought 'Zapper' was some skyscraper at night, I see what it really is though. I'm a big fan of limited colour pictures.

  8. @zach121k I explained once to a friend that drawing is just a matter of putting down lines, and erasing all the ones that aren't right. It took a long time, and a lot of short, squiggly lines before I got to the point where I'm not erasing most of them. It still happens, and some pictures get abandoned. So, best advice is to keep at it.

  9. @fluttershyismywaifu It would be nice to start over again.

  13. @emperormiloth @greydragon412 @madflavors It's a lot of tax, money and estate issues. I'm an executor on a will and it's going a lot longer and slower than I'd like. Have to be a lawyer to understand some of the forms, and I'm not.

  14. @zach121k I do like her. I'm getting random 'Rarity is the best pony' thoughts throughout the day. Unicorn mind control!

  17. Well, signing off for tonight. Obligatory self promotion, I've a webcomic at http://www.sasta.info and probably will have more ponies there soon too.

  20. Possibly relevant to your interests, this artist is re-drawing G1 big brother ponies in the MLP:FiM style. Also, she takes really cheap commissions. Here's her version of Wigwam, http://www.furaffinity.net/view/6030864/

  22. @fluttershyismywaifu Neat toys, what's that on the end, a crab? They should be brushed :)

  23. @scribusarcanum Heh, thanks, it wasn't pleasant preparing but the inspecting agents were impressed at how well everything was organized, so, a win. Added advantage is being able to find something without unpacking everything. It was definitely an experience in letting go. Most of my remaining possessions are books, art, music, clothes, and a couple stuffed toys.

  24. @scribusarcanum MMmm... when my friends move, it's that. Mine were: 18 Dreamcast CDs, 79 Data CDs, 3 DC controllers; 43 Paperbacks; art supplies. Granted, I had to cross a border, list everything I was bringing, and there was a chance they'd want to take a look at anything I was bringing. Oh, and the weights of the boxes were marked too, both for friends helping shift them and to balance the container load.

  25. @fluttershyismywaifu So far I've only got a little plastic Rainbow Dash, she didn't come with a brush. I might use the brush on one that had a proper mane. Then again, I've got a brush for my cat and she rarely sees it.

  27. @critialcloudkicker Ouch. One of the family friends stepped on a Stonefish. She didn't die, but it hurt a LOT.

  29. @madflavors Lucky! Mine don't, unless getting an even darker brown counts.

  30. I was thinking human colours are really uninspired. For skin, a warm (red-ish) brown that ranges along a single white to black axis; Hair, a warm (red-ish) or cool (blue-ish) brown, again with a single white-black axis but a few oversaturated options.; Eyes, the only place there's any flare, but still brown, and occasionally green. It feels phoned in, compared to say, a beetle's options.
