And if you actually were to give it away for a limited time then I can assure you that there are more pirated copies in circulation before the days end. ... ... So has it become nothing but a buzzword at this point ?

I'll be honest, I was playing Mass Effect 1 yesterday and asked Tali about the creation of the Geth and that is pretty much how the war for their own home-planet began, and yeah, that is pretty much how it started.

It's probably a good idea to stop putting AI's into sex toys long before that happens though. I mean, trying to explain why your planet was overrun and taken over by primarily farming equipment is probably way easier than the "I was horny"-explanation.

        • @critialcloudkicker Besides runescape and starcraft, sure I own all the half life games but I just rebought them on console for more immersion. I could of sworn any AAA game is 79.99 even on steam. Otherwise if youre refering to side games noone heard of you cant really count that. Since I work retail I live, breath, buy, and sell 79.99. And chat with customers about remembering times games cost 59.99. :^(

        • @firestormdangerdash I hold steadfast in that AAA games have went up in price and down in content exponentially over the years. Do I happily remember days when games were 60 ? yea, but not because of the costs, it has everything to do with content. I would be fine if I had to buy 100 [ currency ] games if it had was worth it. I really think a certain cost/reward scale should be called to life. Things like yearly CoD or otherwise franchise milking does not help. Madden anyone ? yeah, I think I made my point. Then again I might be in the minority thinking this. This does not take away that I am going to wait for a deal somewhere untill I think [ certain game ] is worth the money. And tell anyone who'll listen that G2A&G2P and pre-ordering are proverbial tools of the devil.

        • @critialcloudkicker The mass of the internet agrees with you. I follow Kotaku a lot and they mention it enough. I have enougg back log of games i usually get them for $15 as clearance thanks to my work or pawn shops if need be. Or digital sales I suppose. Ownly way I play console exlsusives, what till the console dies to collect the things I missed (lol ps3).

        • @m14brony That might be, but then you have politicians ( usually republicans ) trying to muddy up the issue by claiming that there is no paperwork if you buy a used gun, from a gun show, or through the black market since criminals by definition do not follow the law. In essence turning the whole idea of a background check or a gun-database toxic. Toxic to the point where I would not be too surprised if there are wikihow-themed articles out there that show people just how to get around the current system, for they are convinced that the current system is bad.

And then you have people like Omar Mateen, who was in contact with the FBI at least 3 times and still managed to obtain an AR-15. Only more cause for the people who want a gun to shout things like "the current system does not work, I want no part of it !"

        • @critialcloudkicker I have been calling for a better healthcare system and more universal firearm training in the US for years. And even in spite of such problems in the US, violent crime was at a peak in...the early 1990's. The violent crime rate actually continued to drop after the ban on "assault weapons" expired in 2004. Other factors are at play here, and the various anti-gun politicians do not have a solution. They are simply applying Donald Trump's flawed logic to a different target.

Wednesday, 15-Jun-16 12:02:00 UTC in context
        • @m14brony Which is why I think it is important to never stop shouting at what the government should do. "clean drinking water !" "actual healthcare !" "we have a problem with immigrants". Loudest voices will usually 'win'. Things that are not a problem ( anymore ) or get lessened due to what the government is currently doing should not take focus away from the 'voice' in question. And if anything has actually proven itself it is that the media has way too much political influenced power over this 'voice'. So yeah, you're awesome for keeping up with your beliefs if you actually have been shouting pro healthcare and firearm training things for years.

      • The only shootings that make the news these days are the ones not stopped by the second amendment.
When do you ever see "Mass shooting stopped by man with concealed weapon" in the highlights these days?
That's why we think gun control is a real problem.

        • @m14brony Yes but the political landscape is always changing. Groups are always "competing" for exposure in one way or another ( and sometimes it drops in their lap due to something that happened, usually a tragedy ). Just because Women, LGBT and Hispanics are at a high point compared to historical data does not mean that everything will change. Now this is where conservatives come in. It is important for a country not to change everything all the time when a group gains numbers. Whereas liberals always try to see that no man is left behind. These are opposing idea's but necessary to run a country. Now if a political group manages to demonize another political group in the eyes of a certain demographic by use of attack advertisements ( Poison the well in essence ). Then I think the country has a real problem on it's hand... I have seen nothing of that since I do not live in America though, but I am afraid that is exactly what is happening ?

Tuesday, 14-Jun-16 21:27:48 UTC in context
        • @critialcloudkicker I'm not saying that things will automatically change. I am just saying that attempts are being made to use "Politics 101" to demonize people, and I am saying what could possibly happen. All sorts of scapegoating is done by politicians to divert attention away from their failures.

Tuesday, 14-Jun-16 21:41:34 UTC in context
        • @m14brony I never said things will automatically change either, however the liberals and the concervatives have to work together to come up with a sollution that is acceptable to both sides of the coin. Now that you have confirmed that at least one side of this coin is actively demonizing the the statements of the other side. Yeah I now do understand why you brought up those groups when you did. It is way more easy to get people to listen to your political agenda's about gun control if said group just got a big problem with guns.
