Hrmmmmm.. CentOS 7.0 is out, and OVH has it.. I hate this. It pops up the day AFTER I already reformatted and re installed my server box. Hate you too fate. Stupid thing.

@mrdragon I'm a fan of gNewSense and Debian. Debian has conservative, slightly old, but stable packages, and gNewSense is almost the same, except it uses an even older version of Debian as a base, and strips out all non-free software components. Some people don't agree with a strict free software ethic, but it all suits my computers well enough.

@loveydoe Hmm, I haven't honestly seen much in the ways of problem ware with CentOS. Mainly due to it's structure and usage with website hosting etiquette and the likes. It's YUM repository is quite extensive but integrating additional RPM's is a doddle as we all know. Again it's really down to what you want to use.
My boxes sit in France in a hosting centre with OVH there so I don't deal with anything desktop wise, whilst OVH are wonderful enough to provide a free Virtual Desktop to remote in to, I find that it's just as easy to manage with the SSH. -

I'm not happy.
Every day's the same.
I wake up, I turn on my computer, I draw horses, I come on here, I make a massive ass of myself, I eat, and I go to sleep.
Some days are better than others. Some days, I hope I don't wake up when I go back to sleep. Some days, I'm laughing and having a good time. Some days, I'm crying like the pathetic wretch of a human being I am.

@mrmattimation Didn't say you should start being happy, slap yourself. I said you have to change your life, it's a slow process but you can either sit here doing the same routine and NOT be happy. Or you can try and do something and change your life, taking the cahnce too try and BE happy.

So this is, finally, my dash number #100000
It's been a wild ride, to say the least. From late 2011 and finding the show, making an account and with a rough English engaging in horse-related talk, up to where we are now, almost three years later. I've done pretty much everything that can be done on here. Made friends, lost some, had both dumb and enlightening conversations (Sometimes both at the same time!), found new interests and rethought others. Went through more than a few stages of the site, different crowds and themes, each with it's own feeling and good and bad traits. Went unnoticed, made it to the staff and back, made some enemies and all kinds of hilarious stuff. Spent a month or so without internet, checking in whenever I was around a place with wi-fi, and even mastered a language.

@vt3c What I needed was a high spec, highly portable, durable machine with a unix based OS and decent battery life. What I wanted was a computer that looked nice, ran well, was fairly quiet, and would last. Guess where the intersection of those two things lies?
