@bonesbones I'm going to let you in on a tragic human truth- we will never truly understand each other fully and how we're feeling. We can only convey expressions of ourselves through speech and action, but something will always be lost in translation. Jacques Derrida once wrote "Il n’y a pas de hors-texte" which is in English loosely means "There is no outside text" and I feel that's applicable here. Everything we grow to understand about each other is through unreliable perceptions of vague expressions, every time we choose to love someone we are deliberately making ourselves vulnerable. But love will always be a necessary step, because for all the people who will hurt you and lie to you and manipulate you and make you feel like the worst person alive, someone out there is genuinely looking to love back. Honest relationships are difficult two way conversations and not all of them will turn out okay but I want you to know I BELIEVE IN YOU, QUINN. You're a good kid, don't give up hope.

@otakubrony69 I have heard about that. I'm actually kind of indifferent to it, to be honest. I don't really think the series warrants a remake, the original's kind of a timeless classic to me and I think it holds up perfectly fine on its own. I'm still definitely gonna watch the remake though, it could end up being pretty great! We'll just have to wait and see.

@metaltao That's a good question! I guess traditionally metal music has been very guitar driven, so listening to a metal song where guitar isn't playing the lead can be kind of jarring! Feel is important too, but I wouldn't ever say its the genre's bread and butter, I think it's more of just a pattern within some inherent traits of the genre that cause lots of it to sound angry, abrasive, desolate, etc. The thing about feel is it differs even from subgenre to subgenre, like a death metal record will have a totally different feel to a post metal record. I'd say the real points here indicative of discussing what to call Liturgy's music, especially on their most recent record, lie in the subtle stylistic traits of the composition and performance. There a ton of tremolo picked guitars, large atmospheric chordal parts (played on the keys and strings), short bursts of blast beats on the drums, and there is a lot of treble, all of which are loose genre characteristics of black metal.

@metaltao I'm a huge fan of music (I like pretty much all music but I can't understand hard rock) I love mlp and the show makes my day :) I like to draw and I'm trying to learn how to animate but it's pretty difficult. I do also like to play cs:go but I'm not that into gaming longer ;) you're living in the UK if I'm right?
