  9. @critialcloudkicker It's EXTREMELY formulaic. That would be fine if it were its own formula, but the cut-and-paste 'running from zombies forever while all your fellow survivors get picked off but then you meet more survivors, ad infinitum' dreck has nothing to add to the genre. The show relies SOLELY on the hype around zombies, and uses them as a crutch in lieu of any real plot or character development--both of which are heavily lacking in TWD--but the fans are appeased by the occasional zombie ambush. Overall, I suppose the show isn't an active detriment to television, it's just... unoriginal, uneventful and kind of pointless. It's kind of a zombie in and of itself: slow, bland and devoid of cognition.

  22. @mrmattimation The year is 2020. Guillermo del Toro calls a press conference to announce his new project. All of us mech-heads salivate and attend, staring at our savior as we await our giant robot Rapture. Guillermo walks out on stage. He's greeted by thunderous applause. "I have gathered you today for a very important announcement. I'm working on something you have all been waiting for a long time." The crowd is shaking with excitement. "I am proud to announce, the Pacifiiic..." del Toro lingers on the word, feeding off of the anticipation and pure joy of his fans, before continuing, "release date for Hellboy 3!" del Toro flips off the crowd and attempts to moonwalk off stage, but is tripped by an enraged fan and died from head trauma. We never get our robots.
