!vabronies Me and a (non-brony) friend were discussing our plans for a set of audio skits. I'm voiceacting, he's writing. It's a medieval setting, and there's a scene where a horse is ridden. He was suggesting that instead of trying to dig up public-domain sfx, I could just use my two halves of coconuts to make a hoof-trot sound. Thing is, he didn't phrase it like that. He's not that well-acquainted with some of the intricacies of the Brony subculture, so he didn't notice what was odd about the fact that what he actually said was "Instead of looking up sounds, you could just record yourself clopping!".

Pssst, I'm in the middle of huge clash with my mother about something related to here, she's discovered evidence I went to the leeds meetup, and now because I didn't tell her I was going to Leeds; believes I was on some sort of "big gay day out" with homosexual friends because I was clearly trying to hide it from her. She's horrified

@flaxx @ponyray She doesn't know a thing about mlp, and it wouldn't help my case if I told her, I've just told her I went to Leeds on short notice with a few friends, so therefore I went with a load of "homo mates to go and hit the gay bars" and that's why I'm clearly hiding it from her, shes not joking she's being deadly serious, even if it comes across as a joke the way I'm typing it

I have a special request of everypony who doesn't mind sharing their thoughts with me. I'm trying to think of an appropriate angle for my MLP related research/persuasive essay topic and would appreciate some help brainstorming... Some examples of what I'm thinking would make a good topic are: [b]Why MLP:FiM Appeals to Viewers outside of Its Target Demographic[/b], [b]MLP:FiM Fandom's Conflict with Social Attitudes & Standards[/b], and [b]MLP:FiM & Its Fandom's Impact on Bronies' Lives[/b]. I'd be grateful for any thoughts you have about these or other related topics. There are NO bad suggestions (within reason). Please and thank you #everypony!
