@adiwan Be great if you bought something like "Cruis'n Europe" or "Where in Europe is Carmen Sandiego" with them, heheh
-
@adiwan I'm willing to let go of ball mice, but I still want me some PS/2 ports because damn it you only give me four USB ports and expect two of them to be mandatory input devices???
-
@adiwan Feels bad, man

@adiwan Every. Single. Update. Removes functionality and control from the Users. It's just waiting for TRON to liberate the Grid!
-
@adiwan No; I had to spend three hours "updating" to record three minutes of audio...

@adiwan bring back AOL i say

@adiwan All the while, they hope it's good enough to pass for "customer service," but bad enough to save them the fiver.
-
@adiwan Ah, yeah, it's not a year-round snow, here. Maybe further north, yeah, but then the surf becomes a different story, lol.
-
@adiwan Eh, it's California. It's a local gag that you can surf in the morning, and ski in the afternoon. Or vice-versa.
-
@adiwan I've got a mountain about an hour away, so snow isn't like completely strange - I have used chains, and I do know of what we call "snow tires." Just never rose beyond "knowing about" to "thinking about." I feel like our snow tires might be "studded" or something, I rode in a car with them once and it had a distinct noise and vibration to it. Nothing bad, just obviously different.
-
@adiwan Right. Mission accomplished, and hooray for road safety. (Meanwhile, I have never had to change tires for any reason other than baldness or flatness; maybe hand-rotated them, once?)
-
@adiwan O_O Times like that, you might want to double-check that it's even supposed to come off, lol
-
@adiwan Isn't jumping on the tools a standard part of the job?
-
@adiwan I've said it before, but I'll believe everything because I can't believe any of it. XD
-
@adiwan I suspect his talk about "being so embarrassed that he leaves the country" was code for "finding somewhere without extradition to the US to die in penury," but maybe that was just wishful thinking.
-
@adiwan Well, of course today we'd announce results, just to make ME look foolish in the wake of my "Cassandra" gag! Rage rage rage, bad Trump impression, no lulz, I don't care IT'S OVER!!
-
@adiwan "Sad, But True, Superpowers Theatre presents..."
-
@adiwan Well, it's less that I'm claiming to be 100% correct about events that have yet to pass, and more a satirical statement in reflection on the fact that people are surprised that Donald Trump is doing exactly what he said he'd do four years ago. Like, if it's that widely shocking when an asshole, who said he would be an asshole, is an asshole, then clearly "having seen it coming" MUST be among some kind of ~SpEcIaL pOwErS~ or whatever.
-
@adiwan To hell with that, he's magic, or an elf, or something. He's immune, he won't be a carrier! I have to believe this!!!!

-
@adiwan I'm not sure what positive to take away from that being in Europe as a US minority.
-
@adiwan I know what you mean, the LTS releases bundle too many programs together in my opinion. In my f-up, it was the upgrade to python 3.8 that caused most of my problems.
-
@adiwan Yeah yeah, I know. I literally didn't even test anything because I had an identical dev environment that worked. What I didn't know, is that the dev environment was broken due to an update, I didn't know because I hadn't opened the dev environment for a few weeks.
-
@adiwan Niiiice
-
@adiwan Hell yeah, man, top 10%
-
@adiwan This is what I meant.

@adiwan @scribus Not much of a point either, since we already have metal 3D printing in the shape of 4+ axis mills. You just put in a sufficiently big piece of metal and load the 3D model to the CNC software and let it work.
Mill of hot extrusion, metal printing will stay too dangerous and expensive for domestic use for at least a few decades I think. Most homes don't even have the space to fit the machinery or the wiring to run it. -
@adiwan Fingers crossed, man.
