  6. @cabal Unfortunately, it's not that simple. Google is basically embedded into the internet at this point.

  7. @cabal I used to have a friend whose birthday was actually april the first... so every year on his birthday I'd send his mother a sympathy card.

  15. @cabal As for the paranoia issue: You yourself are the one who posted suggesting that if SOPA passes, you'd be dragged out of your house by a SWAT team in the dead of night. That IS paranoia. One could also aruge that reading my previous post and coming to the conclusion that it was /intended/ to patronise is also a mark of paranoia. You editorialise every issue you have an opinion on extremely strongly, leading to a chicken little/boy who cried wolf scenario whereby you may well be talking about something incredibly important (IE: Free Speech) but the manner in which you are talking about it puts people off.

  16. @cabal Wow really? Patronization? Sorry that you saw it that way, but I was being /polite/ and trying to illustrate that I was NOT actively just trying to hate on whatever decision you made. Y'know? To show support for what was a potentally frustrating decision on your part? To address your second point, yes, I have. I was actually one of the first people to post said news to this network. I don't think the timing of it was a coincidence. however, at the time of me writing this, I'm not sure what the actual charges being levelled against them are, and whether or not they actually hold any water.

  17. @cabal I'm just talking about erasing 400 million or so from the face of the planet to avoid more drama.

  19. @cabal So, is this one not yours? I mean RD.net is unique and for social networking i guess Ponysquare is best option right now but really another statusnet place?

  20. @cabal we had the massive blackout, 3 senators withdrew support from SOPA and 13 stepped down PIPA ;)

  21. @cabal As I would have been one of the first people to jump on your back if you’d gone ahead with a SOPA blackout, I feel it would be remiss of me not to provide positive feedback for not doing it. http://www.renzokuken.org/post/16109044003/fao-cabal

  23. @cabal Respectable? Profit? Hah! It's amazing what a wood-tiled background will do. When I set it up, it was meant to be an "After Dark" version of RDN for people posting content not suitable for this timeline/woona. It was only when people started worrying about wanting somewhere to go during the SOPA blackout that it picked up any interest, and only then because misunderstood the concept of a blackout.
