    So I'm patching a MMO. The launcher allows me to play the game /while/ it's updating. What!?

      @minti It will probably not allow you to enter the areas it's updating. It's a concept in which you're asking for trouble though =/

        @chiefanchor The game engine doesn't support that kind of thing though, or it shouldn't.. Weird. xD

          @minti WoW recently did it; it'll prioritize updates based on where you are in-game, and mark off what isn't quite ready by means of blue translucent columns.

              @minti I think I played other MMOs that did this, I think most of them are dead now tho... I will probably never happen to Online Strategy games like SC2 or LoL, that way one player may get an advantage over the other :/
