    so I need advice... I want to introduce a friend to the show this weekend. I want to say "watch one episode, and if you don't want to see what happens in the next one, then you don't have to". The problem is that the 1st episodes in season 1 doesn't have the best cliff hanger, the other season starts and finishes don't make sense without watching season 1 except for maybe "A Canterlot Wedding", but is that the best one to introduce someone to the show with?

      @rainbowsdash i had some success with getting someone to watch the one with Luna on Nightmare Night (dont remember the name of the episode). He was able to follow along with the basic plot because he had some vague idea of the basis of the show because he spends a fair amount of time on the internet. If your friend does too, I would advise that episode. If he/she never really goes on the internet, then it might not be the best choice. Hope i helped

          @northernnarwhal I suppose Lesson Zero is similarly bat-guano and goes some way to establishing the characters, but I love Pinkie Pie.

            @thelastgherkin Yeah, either are good choices for early viewers. I've actually turned someone onto the show with Lesson Zero, but Red also made a good point about how different people want different things out of episodes.
