@metaltao i don't think it's THAT serious. a successful ddos would ttake the site completely down. Cloudflare makes that diffucult. we also have at least one awake mod to delete spambots.

@techdisk How does the mod selection process work? Do I sacrifice a goat to a diety or someyhign or just play nice and never ask to be one?

@metaltao Back when Cabal ran the place it was incredibly easy to become a mod. Nowadays new mods usually aren't promoted unless the staff agrees A) we need more mods, B) this person is capable of the job, and C) this person is willing. (Staff asks you, not the other way around.)
