      @omni Eh? The output of names only goes to your client. The channel doesn't even know you've used the command unless you for some reason tell them you did. Nearly every IRC client executes that command automatically upon joining a channel.

              @omni Ugh, I hate when people think spamming is acceptable when a channel is quiet x.x if no one is talking it's because no one has anything to say. Spamming just to "wake them up" only annoys them because it lights up the channel as if someone had said something of actual value.

      @omni If you happen to be using irssi, I strongly recommend the following scripts: nicklist.pl, adv_windowlist.pl, splitlong.pl, and trackbar.pl. You can find all of these on the irssi website. You should also look into acquire a theme that suits your tastes; the default irssi theme is rather ugly.

        @toksyuryel Not yet, I'm still using Konversation (even though it's doing the same as KDE's Plasma Environment: asking for attention without actually having anything it should get attention for. I'll probably switch to irssi soon :P
