I mean, I'm not trying to sound like one of those really annoying "wrong generation kids" because they're really damn annoying and there's lots of modern music that's also really fantastic, but it's come to my attention that a lot of classics I listen to regularly are from 69.

@metaltao I just hate kids who say stuff like "omg guize the beatles were so gud y does modern musik suck all we have is pop like bieber" because it's a very uninformed and narrow minded point of view, there was good and bad stuff from then and now.

@northernnarwhal Yes, the part about certain music being bad is wrong, all music is good, it just comes down to ersonal preference

@metaltao Well, I think while music is personal preference but I also that music is sort of like films. Films have character development and cinematography and editing and other elements that connoisseurs can compare to other works they've indulged in. Music kind of similar in terms of looking at songwriting, lyricism, production, playing, etc where music can be considering, at least on some level, good or bad.

@northernnarwhal I see, but all music has emotion put into it, or purpose, whatever that may be. But of course, I feel a song doesn't HAVE to have story, just emanate emotion, If you want I could link you to a great song I like :3 It was on the voyager space probe.

@metaltao I never said a song has to have a story, and having emotion is nice but it's useless if they're trying to convey that emotion through overproducing their records and using cheap progressions.

@l1ghtsword All I'm saying is death seems like pretty dark subject matter to me, I don't get how the songs lyrics aren't that dark because it's gospel blues and sounds kind of pleasant at first

@northernnarwhal Does death have to be dark? It gets rid of good people true, but it gets rid of the bad also.... it balances evrything out, no matter what you do, you can't escape it's judgement..

@northernnarwhal it hurts i get that, the song is about pain and reality (or at least by my interpretation) but dark to me is a situation that is not normal. that is messed up and horrifying. something that no on should ever have to see or here... thats why i dont think its that dark
