      1. @metaltao Oh yeah. I got Stunt Race FX (SNES) and Re-Volt (N64) as well.

    2. @broniebrown Hey, grats :D ... I just (re)bought Squiggly for Skullgirls, Gunpoint, Stanley Parable and Defy Gravity. Probably spend a lot more than you did though :)

Sunday, 22-Jun-14 13:42:56 UTC from web
      1. @critialcloudkicker My expenses today were 10€. I wanted to play Stanley Parable at some time too.

        1. @broniebrown 60% off right now on Steam, which brings it to 4,79. While you are at it, if you ever want to get into 2D fighters, for the next 3 hours Skullgirls is 75% off ( 3,49 )

Sunday, 22-Jun-14 13:46:23 UTC from web
          1. @critialcloudkicker I like fighting games but Skullgirls don't look that appealing to me.

Sunday, 22-Jun-14 13:47:29 UTC from Choqok
            1. @broniebrown It's a party game at heart. Pretty much all beat em ups are. Talking about beat em ups. I might even end up buying a WiiU for Smash Bros once the reviews and bundle packs come rolling in.

Sunday, 22-Jun-14 13:50:47 UTC from web
                1. @mushi Big expense = big research in my book. I do not even have a WiiU, and since my wallets are not bottomless... Well... Yea... Also if one of my friends is going to get it ( very likely ) I might just invest in a JXD like device or a Pirate Islands GPU instead. Mainly because of the nature of party games.

Sunday, 22-Jun-14 13:57:29 UTC from web
                  2. @critialcloudkicker meh, reaviews are only the opinion of the guy who did the reviews, i ignore them. but if your friends are gonna buy it, why not wait and try the game yourself?

Sunday, 22-Jun-14 13:55:40 UTC from web
                    1. @mushi reviews are always biassed, but they do raise concerns. It is based upon what I see, and what concerns are raised on which I deem something worthwile buying or not. And yes, no doubt it will be one of those games which I need to have a hands on approach on before I pass my final judgement. Then again there is a HUGE caviat here, and that is that I do not own a WiiU, but do own a 3DS XL.

            2. @broniebrown Skull Girls is a really good fighter. It's well designed, it's controls feel tight, it's characters are well balanced, and it has a lot of depth. I love turning on the hitboxes and what not in the practice mods and watching the mechanincs at work because it is so smooth.

Sunday, 22-Jun-14 13:53:52 UTC from web
              1. @bakasenpai The major point that doesn't make it appeal to me that much are the character designs and the art style. It may play wonderfully but the art doesn't click with me. I'm looking at a gameplay trailer and it makes me instantly make me moan and wanting to close that video.

Sunday, 22-Jun-14 13:58:13 UTC from Choqok
                1. @broniebrown i don't know how to reply to this because I think the art is fantastic the only logical conclusion is YOU HAVE dole TASTE FOR NOT LIKING THINGS I LIKE!

Sunday, 22-Jun-14 14:07:30 UTC from Choqok
                2. @broniebrown "makes me moan, wanting to close the video" ... Yea that is a REALLY big "thing" on how I base my opinion whether I want a game or not. Which takes me back to the trailer and Totalbiscuit's video's on this thing https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=S79C8NJCntQ followed by https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_TJYIHZ4bKM&feature=kp . Don't get me wrong, I REALLY would have liked a tactical FPS to fill the shoes of SWAT4. But after seeing that 2nd video I had the same feeling >_<

Sunday, 22-Jun-14 14:02:19 UTC from web
                    1. @metaltao I usually look at totalbiscuit, angry joe, kotaku, metacritic, and/or tiny reviewers. Depending on how much dirt I am willing to dig up. I am not going to lie here though. Totalbiscuit's video's alone are usually enough for me when it comes to expenses of under 5 Euro.

                        1. @metaltao Pretty sure he is primarily talking about big titles costing big bucks primarily. If not, well, lets just say that I will not find myself weeping for 5 Euro. For I know it would probably end up spend on junk food anyway :)

                                    1. @metaltao Supposedly there was another act planned right after you got the whole story on how Dust came to be. Focussed somewhat on why that general-doofus and that assassin fellow came to their conclusion to do what they did, aswell as their friendship.

Sunday, 22-Jun-14 14:28:50 UTC from web
                              2. @critialcloudkicker i'd seperate Disneys Robin Hood from furrys due to the motive behind production

Sunday, 22-Jun-14 14:19:39 UTC from web
                                1. @bakasenpai While I would agree on that, it certainly is one thing you actually have to mention if you want to talk about "antromorphism done right", Other examples are "Sam and Max" and "Dust an Elysian Tail".. but hey, Disney is so much more famous than the other 2 in the top 3

Sunday, 22-Jun-14 14:25:00 UTC from web
                                  1. @critialcloudkicker but Disney's motive is so different that I don't even think it's relevant. I mean I can see why furries would use it as an example but I don't think it's a good one. Pick actual furry produced media for furries that is good. That should be what you use.

Sunday, 22-Jun-14 14:59:12 UTC from web
                                    1. @bakasenpai I think you narrowly miss what I am trying to say here though. Disney's Robin Hood and Sam & Max and Dust an Elysian Tail is anthromorphism done right ( in my eyes and opinion ). As such I will defend Dust an Elysian Tail stating that I love the anthromorphism art style. Furry art-style on the other hand I see something as anything between anthro and the "Furry Force" funny ( That colegehumor thing, I will not link that for I am sure I might even get banned for mentioning it ). Then again, that is what I think

Sunday, 22-Jun-14 15:05:33 UTC from web
                                    2. @bakasenpai The man who made Dust WAS AND IS a furry, and I dare say, Bronies are BORDERLINE furries...\

Sunday, 22-Jun-14 15:06:38 UTC from web
                                      1. @metaltao Or, you could say that Bronies love anthromorphism and/or cartoons. Although at that point I am pretty sure you'd almost go out of your way to avoid the furry stigma

                      2. @critialcloudkicker kotaku is pretty bad and although angry joe is reliable for certain games he has a very bias and distinct point of view when he reviews games and his reviews are very much opinionated. Fortunately they usually coincide with my own. Usually being the operative word.

Sunday, 22-Jun-14 14:18:06 UTC from web
                        1. @bakasenpai I actually prefer to get a review from someone who is biassed to like the game, and someone who is biassed to hate the game. It paints such a nice picture methinks :) Also the more obvious a reviewer is biassed towards 1 side or the other, the more valuable his review is, since if he/she fakes being totally unbiassed you have to guess what side of the coin he was actually thinking of.

                    1. @broniebrown There are cases pretty much like this one though. A game which is horribly in need of a 2 Gigabyte patch on launch. Orion: Dino Horde comes to mind. Also a whole lot which is on Steam Greenlight. And to make matters worse, some of the Greenlit games on Steam are abandoned as is. Still, not much worse than that Earth game or that Airplane-game which were the highlight of JimQuisition episodes not too long ago. Let me dig them up * goes searching *
