  1. Ok... even if @ceruleanspark gets shouted at for changing the logo at leisure, surely there is nothing wrong with a rotating selection of rainbow dash pictures? I know !braeburn network would be preferable, or spitfire network, but that aint likely... just asking for some original rainbow dash thats all

    1. @purplephish20 Original Rainbow Dash? As in before G4?

Tuesday, 22-May-12 17:10:36 UTC from web
      1. @scribble We once had shadowbolt dash, from luna eclipsed

Tuesday, 22-May-12 17:12:27 UTC from web
        1. @purplephish20 I wouldn't be against that, was just a bit perplexed when you said 'original Rainbow Dash'.

      2. @scribble G3 RAINBOW DASH GO GO GO

Tuesday, 22-May-12 17:14:01 UTC from web
      3. @scribble No wait, we did that for April Fool's.

        1. @thelastgherkin You have 10 more months to wait.

    2. @purplephish20 I think that's a very good idea. :)

Tuesday, 22-May-12 17:11:32 UTC from web
    3. @purplephish20 I propose a new rule: anyone who shouts at @ceruleanspark for changing the logo should be silenced until the logo is changed back.

Tuesday, 22-May-12 17:11:40 UTC from web
    4. @purplephish20 So long as it's something with the show we can change the logo like that. Cabal only had a issue at that joke we did.

      1. @mrdragon was that starfire cuddlecakes, or g3 rainbowdash that rustled cabals jimmies?

Tuesday, 22-May-12 17:13:39 UTC from web
        1. @purplephish20 Starfire cuddlecakes

        3. @purplephish20 Cuddlecakes. I remember, because I changed my name to that and he silenced me.

Tuesday, 22-May-12 17:14:45 UTC from web
    5. @purplephish20 Not only that, but cabal then proceeded to threaten to suspend the domain if the logo wasn't changed back immediately.

      1. @toksyuryel Only the dead can know peace from jimmy rustling such as that

Tuesday, 22-May-12 17:18:01 UTC from web
        1. @purplephish20 It is especially noteworthy in that the site doesn't even belong to him anymore. He was just going to shut it down, but thanks to @purpletinker and the community was persuaded to hand it over to @mrdragon and @ceruleanspark instead. But it seems he wasn't ready to give up unilateral decision making power and kept the domain.

          1. @toksyuryel That's _my_ issue. "Hey guys I'm dropping this site and you have to finance and run it if you want it to stay but I still keep final say in what goes on"

            1. @redenchilada I'd say quite a few of us are bothered by the situation.

Tuesday, 22-May-12 17:26:56 UTC from web
    6. @purplephish20 Yes, despite being a loyal user of the site for nearly a year, changing my name and avatar to that of a cute pink pony is silence-worthy. Which is ironic, considering whatsisface's parading about free speech and all that.

      1. @thelastgherkin cabal's cutie mark is a hypocrite

Tuesday, 22-May-12 17:24:18 UTC from IdentiCurse
      2. @thelastgherkin Chillax. Cabal overreacts sometimes, but he's a good pony.

Tuesday, 22-May-12 17:24:19 UTC from web
        1. @purpletinker I've yet to see his good side. I'll believe it when I see it.

Tuesday, 22-May-12 17:26:43 UTC from web
        2. @purpletinker @thelastgherkin Same. He doesn't seem like a 'good pony' to me. Then again, I don't know anything about him outside of RDN.

Tuesday, 22-May-12 17:28:19 UTC from web
          1. @scribble I have seen Cabal overreact many times. But I've also seen how compassionate he is when I badly needed a friend. I've met him multiple times IRL. He's never struck me as evil at all. Idealistic, sometimes prone to knee-jerk reactions, but never malicious. He reminds me of myself at his age, actually.

Tuesday, 22-May-12 17:30:20 UTC from web
            1. @purpletinker Eh, doesn't sound to different to me, if I'm honest...

Tuesday, 22-May-12 17:31:51 UTC from web
              1. @scribble Malice is genuinely wanting to do harm to innocents. Cabal's never malicious.

Tuesday, 22-May-12 17:34:23 UTC from web
                1. @purpletinker I wouldn't say never. The way he acted about shutting down RDN seemed a bit ridiculous to me.

Tuesday, 22-May-12 17:35:27 UTC from web
                  1. @scribble Of course it was ridiculous, which is why I jumped in immediately to stop him. But don't confuse 'making a ridiculous mistake' for 'doing something evil'.

Tuesday, 22-May-12 17:36:51 UTC from web
                    1. @purpletinker I never called him evil, just not necessarily nice.

                      1. @scribble He's shown himself to be neutral on bad days, nice on good days. Never evil.

Tuesday, 22-May-12 17:39:13 UTC from web
                        1. @purpletinker It just doesn't SEEM to be neutral, if you know what I mean.

Tuesday, 22-May-12 17:40:06 UTC from web
                    2. @purpletinker Besides, to me, evil would be him just doing it, without taking a single word users said in effect.

Tuesday, 22-May-12 17:39:22 UTC from web
            2. @purpletinker Though, I don't tend to be quite as vocal to certain things as he is, I think.

Tuesday, 22-May-12 17:32:32 UTC from web
        3. @purpletinker Yes, but to put it bluntly... he's not a good admin. Even ignoring when he overreacts, he gave out mod priveleges like candy when he was the head admin, and most of said mods were hardly ever around.

Tuesday, 22-May-12 17:28:59 UTC from IdentiCurse
        4. @purpletinker It doesn't alter the fact that holding the domain hostage is a dick move, doesn't matter how much of a "good pony" you are otherwise.

Tuesday, 22-May-12 17:29:48 UTC from web
          1. @colfax I won't even get into how much BronyCon intellectual property I still control. BronyCon's still here. So's RBDN. Don't worry. As long as I draw breath and there's a community to fill these digital walls, RBDN will be around. If you want to get your jimmies rustled about someone in our community, I can point you at MUCH better targets for jimmy-rustling, people who have done things with actual malice for their own gain.

Tuesday, 22-May-12 17:32:56 UTC from web
            1. @purpletinker And what he did with the domain _wasn't_ "actual malice" for his "own gain"? Did you happen to see the drama that occured as a direct result?

Tuesday, 22-May-12 17:34:26 UTC from IdentiCurse
              1. @redenchilada I recall him saying he would shut it down. This would not have benefited him in the slightest. It would have damaged his reputation and caused a lot of upset people. I really don't see how you think he could have benefited from a shutdown of the service.

Tuesday, 22-May-12 17:36:09 UTC from web
                1. @purpletinker The threat alone damaged his reputation well beyond repair.

Tuesday, 22-May-12 17:37:17 UTC from web
                  1. @toksyuryel Forgive him. He made a stupid mistake. He's moved on, and so should all of us. The server's still here. Let's enjoy it.

Tuesday, 22-May-12 17:38:44 UTC from web
                2. @purpletinker Ok, then, I'll concede that point. It was still reckless and careless, which is not a quality I want to see in someone with that much say in the site. I'm not saying he's a bad _person_, but he makes way too many snap calls without considering the community for me to trust him _as an admin_.

Tuesday, 22-May-12 17:39:51 UTC from IdentiCurse
            2. @purpletinker And RDBN will be even better off once we move to a server 3x the power this one has next month. We can do some crazy things with that.

                  2. @mrdragon Why two dual cores instead of one quad core?

Tuesday, 22-May-12 17:38:41 UTC from web
                    1. @toksyuryel 'cause two dual cores is cheaper?

Tuesday, 22-May-12 17:39:12 UTC from web
                    2. @toksyuryel Cheaper, and two duel cores in fact is better then a single quad core, it spreads the load even more successfully.
