@awlditzy +100 for Castlevania reference
-
@awlditzy *raises Rapier*
-
@northernnarwhal I haven't even played Symphony of the Night yet.
-
@northernnarwhal SotN isn't even my favorite Castlevania game but it's so good
-
@awlditzy It's okay, you know that line and I love that line
-
@fyf It is very good. I also adore Aria of Sorrow.
-
@northernnarwhal There are just so many good ones. I also really like the first four, Dawn of Sorrow and Order of Ecclessia
-
@fyf I wasn't really crazy about 2 but I liked 3 and loved 1 and 4.
-
@fyf i dont like castlevania
-
@northernnarwhal As of yet I've only played the first three on emulator, and not all the way through but they were awesome.
-
@rainbowlover Coolio bronaroni!
-
@metaltao your weird
-
@awlditzy The first one was really ahead of its time, honestly my favourite game on the original NES besides Mega Man 2
-
@rainbowlover Yes, I am. I am sorry if it bothers you, if you want me to tone it down just ask and I will! Got it?
-
@metaltao plz do
-
@northernnarwhal Oh it doleed me off but not enough to finish it. I should get back to those.
-
@rainbowlover You got it.
-
@rainbowlover You're *
-
@rainbowlover But, that picture is making me a bit sad. where did you get it? The avatar pic you have?
-
@coltz wow relly
-
@metaltao i found on google
-
@rainbowlover relly
-
@awlditzy It's certainly renowned for its difficulty, but it sort of has a game design philosophy I've seen recently with games like Dark Souls in the sense that it treats the player with a level of respect in it s difficulty. It wants the player to understand it as a game rather than bend itself over for the player, to keep the experience more genuine.
-
@coltz ya relly
-
@rainbowlover relly relly
-
@coltz wat dont u understand
-
@northernnarwhal Oh it was difficult as hell, I mean no way I could have made much progress without a save-state. I kind of liked the RPG elements in the second game, although seemingly poorly implemented by today's standards.
-
@rainbowlover relly dont
-
@coltz relly dont wat
-
@rainbowlover wat dont relly
-
@rainbowlover turn down 4 wat
Coltzerino likes this. -
@rainbowlover Are you guys ok? @coltz @rainbowlover
-
@coltz wat r you sayn?
-
@metaltao Im relly ok
-
@rainbowlover relly deep stuff
-
@coltz are u make fun of me?
-
@awlditzy I felt the second one was just very heavy handed in its presentation. Often times it would have you running back and forth for no reason other than to increase longevity of the game and its objectives were often incredibly vague due to cryptic dialogue.
-
@rainbowlover I make fun of everything
-
@northernnarwhal Oh yes, I put those both under poorly implemented RPG elements. Zelda II has that to some degree as well, but I loved it much much more.
-
@awlditzy Zelda II handled the transition to RPG format much better than Castlevania II
-
@coltz rood
-
@northernnarwhal It was much more endearing too, I thought so. Despite playing both on emulators :D
-
@rainbowlover Robin Rood
-
@coltz i dont like u
-
@awlditzy The final battle with Shadow Link is fantastically challenging, provided you're not using the corner stab cheat
-
@rainbowlover Really?
-
@rainbowlover You are not the first one.
-
@northernnarwhal Aw man, it made the Shadow Link fight in OoT look like chump change. I raged at that bananasing fight.
-
@awlditzy There's actually a hidden Shadow Link fight in Spirit Tracks for the DS that's refreshingly challenging
-
@northernnarwhal Awww... Now I wish I bothered finish Spirit Tracks...
-
@awlditzy It's at the end of the level 3 enemy challenge in castle town
-
