@mrmattimation Are you Jewish or something?
-
@derpy128 Raised Catholic, actually. Not sure what I am now. I still believe in the Jesus stuff but I'm not exactly a practicing religious man.
-
@mrmattimation I'm a UU.
-
@derpy128 Ehwah?
-
@mrmattimation Unitarian Universalist.
-
@mrmattimation Unitarian Universalism. Basically means it's a really liberal subset of Christianity that values intellectual freedom.
-
@northernnarwhal And recycling! Don't forget about recycling! It's gay hippy church.
-
@derpy128 Oh, of course. I was just giving him the basic rundown of it.
-
@northernnarwhal Very basic. We aren't even Christian any more. We're. Humanist! i mean... If that's ok with you...
-
@derpy128 Well, you're rooted in that theology anyway.
-
@northernnarwhal Were. That's all in the past now. We were originally liberal heretics, now we're our own thing.
-
@northernnarwhal Never call a UU Christian. We will go OFF. Will anyway, good night! I gotta get sleep for all my finals tomorrow! :D
-
@derpy128 Is "Jesus Freak" still acceptable? :-p j/k Later daze!
-
@derpy128 iyi ajnan
-
@derpy128 Well, to be fair Unitarianism was created as an alternative to Trinitarianism so as to see the Christian God as a singular being as opposed to a Holy Trinity. But I guess one of the things about UU is that since so much of it is reliant on intellectual freedom it's actually difficult to pigeon hole. It has representation in everything from Christianity to Atheism to Neopaganism, so it's really more of am amalgamation of different theological viewpoints, at least in its modern incarnation. It is a fact, though, that its rooted and took influence from liberal Christianity.

@derpy128 Also, nite
