      1. @northernnarwhal Down here everyone's crazy about Blue Bell. And when I say that, I mean people were paying $100+ for potentially-salmonella-infected tubs of it when it got recalled a little while back.

        1. @redenchilada I dunno if there's an obviously dominant brand here, but from working in a grocery store I can say our top sellers tend to be Chapman's, Breyer's, Ben & Jerry's, and our in-store brand.

          1. @northernnarwhal After the bowl I just had, I have to seriously question why Breyer's is a top seller anywhere. B&J's is pretty nice from what I can remember, though. I honestly think HEB's store brand (they're a Texas chain) is the best I've had, which is funny because anything else in their brand tends to be mediocre at best.

            1. @redenchilada Yeah I've never been much of a Breyer's fan either, but lots of people seem to buy it. B&J's for me depends on the flavour, but generally I'd say I like their products. Our in store brand is pretty good too, though as far as store-bought ice cream goes my favourite as I said tends to be Chapman's.
