I very rarely see the phrase "I am a Christian" used in connection with any sort of christ-like sentiment.

@ceruleanspark All too true.

@ceruleanspark I am a Christian, I love gay people too. I'd die for them just as much as anyone else.

@danielmikaelson Does this "Love" by any chance take the form the form of encouraging them to "renounce" homosexuality so they can get into heaven?

@ceruleanspark Like Mark Twain said(roughly): "I like your Christ, but I do not like your Christians."

@ceruleanspark Being gay is a sin, but so are so many other things, I'm sure many gay people went to heaven and renounced their sins before God. I'm going to have to do that, I sin way too much as well. God is loving and forgiving, not an angry fire god in the sky. He wants everyone with him. But by sinning we are practically "grapes-slapping" him.

@dezzierose I've seen this quote attributed to Twain, Gandhi, at least one high-tier buddhist, and Mitch Hedberg. What's more, I don't think /any of them/ actually said it.
-
@ceruleanspark I have no idea who really said it. Probably some obscure guy who nobody knows anymore.
-
@psychodolphins you sound angry
