"So if you are wondering how men become cold-blooded killers, it isn’t religion that is doing it. If you put me in that situation, I can say with confidence I would sign up for suicide bomb duty. And I’m not even a believer. Men like hugging better than they like killing. But if you take away my access to hugging, I will probably start killing, just to feel something. I’m designed that way. I’m a normal boy. And I make no apology for it."

@tiffany where did you get that from? I would like to show @loweel that there are people who think that way.

@tiffany thank you! :-o Wow that dude is really scary. But my hope is since he's a cartoonist, that it's satire and he doesn't mean it! O_o
-
@onetimepad I considered that possibility, but I consider failed satire (i.e. the kind where you can't tell whether the writer is serious or not) to be more or less equally as harmful as if it were genuine.

@tiffany I agree. But I just briefly glanced at the Wikipedia article about Scott Adams, and since he is knows for satire, I'd say if he was
-
@tiffany serious, he would have made that absolutely clear somehow. So, I guess it's just a joke.
-
-
@tiffany This is a really good point that articulates the danger that Poe's Law addresses. Without intent of extremism, who's to say you won't end up riffing on the narratives of impressionable people who don't know better in the first place, right?
-
@tiffany But if it's easy to tell, then it's not funny. The joke is in making the reader doubt.
Sunday, 22-Nov-15 18:14:37 UTC from web-
@skellythos You can easily make it obvious and funny at the same time
Sunday, 22-Nov-15 18:15:41 UTC from web-

@skellythos he makes a crude comic that its fans read to feel superior about their sense of humour

hmm while I personally agree with @tiffany I think I can also understand what @skellythos means. I'm just not the right audience such jokes.

"To name someone guilty, you should… no: MUST know the matter in every smallest details." So, I gonna study some of the details around Quran. Nevertheless, there are [self-censored] guys and girls in maybe any religion. Knowing some things around religions in common, it may be stated that any (pseudo?) religious extremism is based on misreadings of postulates of each of them. But it looks very interesting that maybe most of splits and divisions which caused battles are… in so called Abramic religions. Yes, including Christianity! It's very strange. And is it just a chance, since everyone, who wanna see, can see that some persons and organizations have used those situations for their grapeing profit on our blood. P.S. IMHO, of course. I'm not a guru at all, as stated above.
-
@staleg sorry, I somehow can't follow you... What are you talking about?
-
@staleg a "war of religions". IMHO, many (most?) conflicts are driven or fueled by people who gain profit from them. If they succeed in...
-
@staleg installing the image of "the one over there has a different religion, so (s)he's my enemy", we start bashing each other, while the

@staleg real villains sit somewhere save and laugh because they achieved their goal. Is this what you meant by "profit"?
