@thelastgherkin HAY... I won the Millennium Falcon fair and square. How ya faring?
Monday, 25-Jun-12 11:22:44 UTC from web-
@pawnheart I'm surrounded by new toys. How about you?
Monday, 25-Jun-12 11:24:06 UTC from web-
@thelastgherkin The canterlot wedding set looks sweet, I must say! ...What else have you got?
Monday, 25-Jun-12 11:25:15 UTC from web-
@pawnheart Finally got an EVE to go with my WALL-E. And while the Transformers on the other arm of the chair aren't new, it's the first time I've assembled them into the Wreckers, in honour of the comics I received this morning. http://ur1.ca/9kaih
Monday, 25-Jun-12 11:32:55 UTC from web-
@thelastgherkin That's cool! ...confession time: I have never seen Wall-E.
Monday, 25-Jun-12 11:34:36 UTC from web-
@pawnheart You should. It's a beautiful, wordless love story. I always cry at the end.
Monday, 25-Jun-12 11:35:31 UTC from web-
@thelastgherkin It looks pretty good... just one of those films I missed at the time, prolly through skintness. UP too.
Monday, 25-Jun-12 11:36:25 UTC from web-
@pawnheart You should see UP. It tells a beautiful, tragic and wordless love story in its first nine minutes before going upwards in terms of cuteness and spectacle from there.
Monday, 25-Jun-12 11:38:26 UTC from web-
@thelastgherkin Oh my god, UP is amazinig.
Monday, 25-Jun-12 11:39:59 UTC from web -
@thelastgherkin ...you seem to like films where no-one says anything... maybe that is the doorway to the truth? Body-language leading the way, n'all.
Monday, 25-Jun-12 11:42:53 UTC from web-
@pawnheart There is dialogue in both films. The two main characters of WALL-E can communicate, but it is remarkable how much character is demonstrated through the body language of two ROBOTS. And there are human and robot characters later on who talk all the time. In UP, it's only the opening credits sequence in which no-one talks: before that, we establish in dialogue the first meeting of Karl and Ellie as precocious kids; the opening sequence is spent watching their entire life unfold together in a way that simultaneously warms and breaks the heart.

@thelastgherkin Just reading the titles "Up" or "WALL-E" is enough to get me all misty eyed. :')

@scribus Yup that was an underrated REM album alright
Monday, 25-Jun-12 11:49:15 UTC from web-
@pawnheart I'm afraid any REM reference was purely coincidental.
-
@scribus I know! Just being flippant.

@scribus I nearly started crying the other day, when I was thinking about the end of Toy Story 3.
Monday, 25-Jun-12 11:49:38 UTC from web-
@thelastgherkin Oh I genuinely DID cry at the end of toy story 3, the thing is i was in a giant bean bag in the cinema with a friend... desperately trying to hide my tears, I have no shame in admitting that
Monday, 25-Jun-12 11:50:41 UTC from web -
@thelastgherkin And now I'm thinking about it. And also Simon Pegg talking about Terminator 2.

@pawnheart Wall-E is one of the most beautiful films I've ever seen... my confession is i've never seen UP... And i'm told that makes you cry
Monday, 25-Jun-12 11:36:43 UTC from web-
@purplephish20 ...I can't remember the last time I cried at a fillum... might have been the end of Dr Zhivago yeeeeears ago... so *sniff* close... and she didn't... even... se-hee-hee hi-hi-him *bawling*.

@pawnheart I was nearly in tears at the end of the boat that rocked... that was beautiful, and that song at the end sealed it for me, the captain resigned to his fate and chose to go down with the ship, playing this http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Mb3iPP-tHdA
Monday, 25-Jun-12 11:44:18 UTC from web-
@purplephish20 Being a big fan of 60s music in general, I was rather tempted by that film... butI must confess to being put off by some pretty harsh reviews.
Monday, 25-Jun-12 11:45:35 UTC from web-
@pawnheart Its one of the best films I've ever seen
Monday, 25-Jun-12 11:46:53 UTC from web-
@purplephish20 I'm prolly gonna see it. I'm fascinated by the subject matter, and I dig a lot of the actors in it.
Monday, 25-Jun-12 11:47:29 UTC from web-
@pawnheart I strongly apologise for the spoilers then
Monday, 25-Jun-12 11:48:10 UTC from web-
@purplephish20 Don't worry, It doesn't usually hinder my enjoyment of the film, unless it's only real selling point is a plot twist. #Schyamalan
