  1. I've never used the "repost to Twitter" button on RDN Refresh before. HMMM.

    1. @redenchilada This is another nice feature of !mintrefresh: it doesn't have that button.

      1. @toksyuryel It doesn't bug me to have it there, honestly.

Monday, 09-Jul-12 18:53:50 UTC from web
        1. @redenchilada I found it got in the way quite often when I was aiming for other buttons.

          1. @toksyuryel also I added one line to the script and hid the twitter button so HA

      2. @toksyuryel Plus does mintrefresh watch your inbox for new messages?

Monday, 09-Jul-12 18:54:57 UTC from web
        1. @redenchilada You mean the DM inbox? No but I always have my email account open so I'm notified immediately anyway.

          1. @toksyuryel I only ever check my email on my phone, which gets less and less use nowadays, so it's handy to have the script watching that for me.

            1. @redenchilada I've got my email in a pinned tab in firefox. I've also got RDN in another pinned tab.

              1. @toksyuryel Derpymail (which I've adopted as my catch-all for automated messages) doesn't check for new messages automatically, and I can't be bothered to mash refresh for most things. (Actually, I need an auto-refresh script for Tumblr, lol.)

Monday, 09-Jul-12 19:03:19 UTC from web
                1. @redenchilada Perhaps an auto-refresh script for derpymail is in order?

Monday, 09-Jul-12 19:04:04 UTC from web
                  1. @toksyuryel Got anything that will work for SquirrelMail? (Last I checked, that's the only web client DM had that I could load.)

Monday, 09-Jul-12 19:04:58 UTC from web
                    1. @redenchilada I meant somebody should write one.

Monday, 09-Jul-12 19:08:02 UTC from web
                      1. @toksyuryel Ok, write me one then. c:

                2. @redenchilada I use a small program called PopPeeper to check all my e-mail accounts.

Monday, 09-Jul-12 19:04:36 UTC from web
                  1. @colfax I try to limit how many programs I have open at once, though. The four on my taskbar are already starting to bug me.

Monday, 09-Jul-12 19:05:32 UTC from web
                    1. @redenchilada That's why I like this one, it's small and if I ever want to remove it I just delete it's folder, it doesn't do anything with the registry or anything.

Monday, 09-Jul-12 19:06:48 UTC from web
                      1. @colfax But does it take up taskbar space? You wouldn't believe how OCD I am about that.

Monday, 09-Jul-12 19:07:45 UTC from web
                        1. @redenchilada Only when you have mail, if you set it tht way in the options.

Monday, 09-Jul-12 19:09:00 UTC from web
                          1. @colfax Oh, that'd be super-handy then! I'll go look that up then.

                            1. @redenchilada I have a bunch of different accounts over several different services and it keeps up with them all just fine.

                          2. @colfax Good night, the thing's website is so Web 1.0.

Monday, 09-Jul-12 19:10:31 UTC from web
                            1. @redenchilada That's because they spend all their time on the programs, not on web design.

Monday, 09-Jul-12 19:11:22 UTC from web
                    2. @redenchilada I used to be like that back when I used windows. Now I constantly have tons of programs running and it doesn't bother me at all.

Monday, 09-Jul-12 19:09:00 UTC from web
                      1. @toksyuryel yeah see I'm still on windows and have no intentions to move away from it so.

                  2. @colfax Plus the only computer program I can get to load my Derpymail is, for some reason, Windows Live Mail. *gag*

Monday, 09-Jul-12 19:06:42 UTC from web
                    1. @redenchilada So far I've had no problem with Derpymail on mine.

                  3. @colfax E-mail client discussion? Cool, Mutt here.

Monday, 09-Jul-12 19:06:56 UTC from web
                    1. @omni I really should look into getting a good textmode email client… then I could switch to derpymail too. Right now I've just grown too accustomed to gmail's features.

Monday, 09-Jul-12 19:10:42 UTC from web
                      1. @toksyuryel I think Derpymail (the dot-com one, anyway) can redirect to a Gmail account. I remember hearing something of the sort when I went to register for mine.

Monday, 09-Jul-12 19:12:26 UTC from web
                        1. @redenchilada But then I wouldn't have a reason to use derpymail. My email accounts are just where the emails get delivered to, I don't use any of them as email addresses.

Monday, 09-Jul-12 19:27:43 UTC from web
    3. @widget Is there, like, an option somewhere to toggle it? I just added a "visibility:none" to the code it inserts, since commenting out the whole block seems to do something funny with how th rest of the page displays or maybe I'm just nuts?

Monday, 09-Jul-12 19:28:56 UTC from web
    4. @widget Not a clue

Monday, 09-Jul-12 19:33:34 UTC from web
    5. @widget Muh, letting it place an invisible button there doesn't bug me (since I have no regard whatsoever for good practices)

Monday, 09-Jul-12 19:34:10 UTC from web
    6. @widget Hide it under an "advanced options" listing? Non-standard features that users might not want should be togglable; most people only care about the auto-refresh, they shouldn't be forced to get a whole bunch of other stuff too if they don't want it.

    7. @widget coding properly is for losers *runs off into the sunset*
