      @sci It doesn't exactly look good... But usually my problems eat the memory before the processor, so that strikes me as odd, too.

        @scribus Just then, I was trying to convert a video. It completely spiked my CPU...and didn't stop. The memory tends to hover around 1.8GB, so that doesn't surprise me as much...

              @sci I've had some memory leaks trying to rip DVDs before that forced me to get a terminal up & type the shutdown command in before it eats up everything. Makes me feel important, like in the bad mid-90s hacker flicks. :p

                @scribus ahhh yes, I know that feeling. I got something similar last time I killed my computer: quickly identified the problem (video card overheated), grabbed a spare I had lying around, slapped in in, back up in 10 minutes flat. # #
