@mushi Don't get me started on card games.... So much money......... I used to play Yu Gi Oh and spent a ridiculous sum of money being tournament grade at that, then I moved on to Magic - The Gathering where I've mostly stayed due to it being the best. But Adam likes to play Pokemon so I've got some cards ready for dueling him too and sometimes buy a booster or two to keep up. Honestly though, so much money lost :(

@scoot i liked pokemon too, but i preferred yu-gi-oh (but the pokemon cards were mroe beautiful). But i still remeber buying a shadow of destiny pack and getting this. it was a magical moment http://ur1.ca/9sto9

@mushi Ooh! Those were, and still are, goddamn powerful beasts! Shame this ones abilities were SO SPECIFIC (only works with continuous trap cards? I uh...) I guess you're supposed to build the deck around it or something. Pokemon Cards do look a lot better and the tiny sized Yugioh cards are really weird to me now. I still have a crystal beast deck built at present :)

@mushi :D They are certainly more colourful! And really dang shiny :0... Sure I could get a Hamon, but man... That would be even more money! :( I'm happy with Rainbow dragon and my Crystal Abundance as win conditions :D. (Abundance wins me pretty much every game)

@mushi I've always been a fan of that super high defence based rock deck you can buy. I have it and it's a lot of fun, I also have a normal monster beatdown based around bringing out Blue eyes turn 1 and winning by pummeling to death. The last deck I really liked was warriors with extreme equipments on them like mage power and united we stand.

@scoot i hadthe first dragon deck, the water deck and the dinosaur deck. I always wnated the wind deck. I remener how annoying the fire deck was with that raging flame spirit (or something like this). but direct damage was the coolest thing for me

@mushi You'd enjoy burn damage in Magic, literally Red has millions of spells that involve simply "Deal 3 damage to target creature or player" bear in mind players start with 20 life, so 3 is a decent amount per spell. Some deal a LOT more than that though. Yu Gi Oh's direct damage is sort of lazy and badly implemented imho. (The fire deck is awful to fight though you are right)

@scoot well, i dont know anything about magic... the problem i see with direct damage deck is that you dont use many monsters, so you dont have defence. but if you make a 40 cards deck with 3 gate to your mind and 3 nimble momonga, that would be a fast and funny gameplay
