@mushi I have a famicom clone, a Dreamcast, a Wii, a PS2 and a DSiXL (Some are mine, some my brother's, but at the end of the day, they just lay there) and lots of emulators.

@mushi No clue, just was playing it one day and started smelling smoke, and it stopped working. Opened up, the main board had a hole and was charred around it

@nerthos I keep all my old consoles because I can, but i rarely buy new things any more. A couple years ago I got a PS2 and a bunch of used games mostly because I love GH. Otherwise the internet and MMOs are my mistreses.

@pony I got tired of MMOs a while back, because now all MMOs are balanced so no player is far more powerful than the rest. That kind of ruins the point of playing.

@mushi GM commands always fix that! MMOs are fun when the admins are cool and let the players break the game with effort.

@redenchilada Actually, the PVE part is always fun. What I mean is that I like when the admins and the game let you keep growing your stats past the point when you're supposed to stop. When the game is balanced, it quickly devolves into a "everyone with the same gear and stats" scenario.

@nerthos I guess I can see that, then. It'd certainly be fun to have a game with no stat ceiling (and then watch in horror as your character zips across the map uncontrollably at the tap of a movement key :D)

@redenchilada In WoW I solved that by adding really powerful gear that didn't bind to character or account, to make the players fight over a limited amount of items that could make them more powerful than the rest of the server; and adding quests to learn skills they weren't originally supposed to have. When there's a cap, I reach it and never again touch the game. With added content, it's actually fun to play once you're max level, because you can work to earn that bit of power that could put you over the other players.

@redenchilada Also Lineage 2 and the castle system. You could gather a couple of friends, conquer a castle, and force taxes upon your region. With luck and careful planning, your guild could end up ruling oer the server.

@nerthos that reminded me of the economy on RF online, where the more gold your race had, the ceaper would be itens on NPCs, and the guilds also got taxes from people's store
