@abigpony I think part of the reason he comes down on the rules so hard is because the place is still trying to be "all ages". Honestly, a part of me wants to give that up and make it the typical 13+ place so we can be less restricted in terms of what's appropriate.

@redenchilada I love the restriction on language and I like the fact that he wants to take it back to more family-friendly roots, but I feel he comes off too aggressive with it. Deletes posts without notice, goes by his own standards as opposed to preestablished ones without negotiation, etc. In this happenstance, I meant more of the technical side wherein he is trying to flip the site around a bunch when he gets a hold of it, but I think the reason we are unable to accept his restoration of the site as easily is because we haven't had proper moderation since the cabal administration. They're pretty much let us run free on our own standards.

@abigpony I've noticed so many people say the same thing. I do think the rules we have now can work, but he does need to work on his enforcement a bit.

@abigpony Yeah, pretty much. And as far as the technical stuff is concerned, I like what he's doing. It's a lot of stuff he's adding, yeah, but it's not going to affect the usage of public in any way outside of embedding the features on the refresh script (that everyone has on at this point) into the site itself.

@abigpony The first-time thing for new users is an interesting concept and I'm interested to see if it'll work out in the long run. The media tabs and featured groups thing sound really good, though, and the worst case for those is that they don't get used. I'm definitely looking forward to the little tweaks, too.

@redenchilada Once he implements it, I'm gonna make a new account just to test run it and see how well it works, but hopefully it will give a more "modern" feel to our plain one we have now. I think I'm just more skeptical because change is a difficult thing to accept sometimes. Again, I'll wait to see how I like it. http://ur1.ca/9yjbz
