              @derps Skype works but is several versions behind the Windows release (also, it's only beta), and .exe files will need WINE which is its own barrel of worms.

              @derps Skype has a linux port, it sucks but it's usable. EXE files will usually work under wine if they're simple (IE. Not a game) xD

                  @derps Typing messages via Skype tends to work fine. As for WINE, I've never monkeyed enough with it to make it work, either, so I'm no help there.
